For a few families, over many generations.

A letter from the principal

London, October 2026

Dear friend,

M

ost of the families we look after came to us the way you have: someone they trust mentioned our name. We have kept it that way since 1974, and we take on a new family only when we can know them well.

We are a small office. We look after eleven families, some of them for three generations, and we expect to know their grandchildren. What we do for each of them comes down to three things.

I.

The capital. We invest for decades, not quarters, and we report in plain words on one page, four times a year.

II.

The continuity. Wills, trusts and the harder conversations between generations, held long before they are needed.

III.

The counsel. One call for the lawyer, the accountant, the banker and the school, and one person who knows the whole family.

We sell no products and take no commissions. We are paid by the families alone, and we answer only to them.

If someone you trust gave you our name, write to us. We will reply in our own hand.

With every good wish,

How we work

Slowly, in writing, and for a long time.

01

An introduction

Someone who knows us both puts us in touch. We never advertise and we do not cold call.

02

A first conversation

Over lunch or at your kitchen table. We listen for an hour and say very little.

03

A written plan

Within a month you have it on paper: what we would do, what it costs and what we would not do.

04

Then, decades

Most families stay with us for the rest of their lives, and some for the next ones.

The principals

Three people and one telephone number.
